In the blazing heat of Banbury, Banbury started off the quicker and piled on the heat at the Marlow defense - Faye Liza The ever steady Gill and a new and welcome edition Levi handled the pressure with ease!
It was a midfield battle and Kate Porter and Sian fed balls to the amazing juniors Emily Ella, and Amelie who ran their socks off, with Trisha doing her best to frustrate down the wing, the balls were fast and furious into the waiting Lori, alas the Banbury keeper was on top form and made some outstanding saves !
It was Banbury who scored first goal in the first half with a clever one two into the Marlow goal! Instead of heads down Marlow battled relentlessly and were awarded one of many short corners, brilliantly scored by Liza Rowles after a year out through injury.Score was 1-1
Banbury made a few attempts to take the lead through short corners but the Marlow defense handled everything that came their way.
After another hard push at the Banbury goal Marlow finally took the well deserved lead through a brilliant goal by Emily Maskill in her first senior ladies game.
