Marlow took a large squad to Henley for the local derby feeling confident after a couple of good results. Marlow opened with some good possession hockey but struggled initially to find a way through a disciplined Henley defence. Some excellent work on the wing from Kyra Bola allowed player of match Anya Swales to open the scoring mid way through the half.
The Marlow defence had their share of work to do, defender Laura Watson working hard to counter a strong threat on the left.
After half time Marlow lost their way a bit and allowed an equaliser against the run of play. For 10 mins henley took control of the match and came close to taking the lead.
Marlow then changed up a gear and decided to win the match. Helen North netted from a corner before Ella Tidy scored, maintaining her goal a game record.
Jo Rees sealed the win with a backboard clattering effort just before time.
