Marlow ladies 2s travelled to Sonning lane to face a strong Reading side. Both sides came out fighting and it was soon clear that it was a very evenly matched game. Some hard work from the Marlow defence and midfield kept Reading at bay. The breakthrough came when Anya McKeever got on the end of a cracking Lucy Godfrey cross and managed to lob the keeper putting Marlow in front at half time.
The second half was just as even as the first. Marlow Goalkeeper Alys Ramm made some superb saves to earn her man of the match. Marlow fought hard to the final whistle and did brilliantly to keep the Reading side out.
