James Luff took Man of the Match with a sterling midfield display

Starting on the evening before, getting reminded by Chappers of the painfull defeat on the away game at the start of the season, there wasn't much more needed to make the boys aware of the hard task ahead of them. 'Patience is the key' was the advice of the day, and with that the boys set out to try and keep the unbeaten streak going.

Trojans started of pressing the back line, but under the experienced eye of Jon Hooker and Phill Cowell, making his return after injury, the back line stood firm. It was the midfield however that struggled, a fast and aggressive press on the Trojans side paid off, as most of the outlets stranded in midfield.

It was in the 17th minute when Trojans intercepted the ball in midfield, creating a dangerous attack along the baseline, finding a foot and leading to the first penalty corner of the game.

The flick came in low, with Phil making a great save on the line, only for the rebound to be fired in.

And it took only 2 more minutes for more of the same. Trojans finding a foot in the D and a flick finding the net on Boyd's left hand side.

Marlow where 2-0 down and in the remainder of the first half, it where the Trojans firmly in the driving seat, to the frustration of captain Alex Land and Sam Robberts leading to green cards.

The 2nd half Marlow. Started playing more boldly, pressing back the Trojans by aggressive and attacking play, taking the sting out of the Trojans front line who only created a single chance, being saved by a split-save by the Dutch goalee.

Just 9 minutes in, both the Trojans defender and Phil Cowell got yellow carded, leading to a chaotic phase in the game, only to be calmed down with the players returning on the pitch. That didn't last very long though, with captain Land getting a booking.

The game was slowly getting out of control of the 2 umpires, With Marlow fighting for their worth and the Trojans clinging on to the lead, when coach Chappers unveiled his master plan; substituting the goalie with an extra outfield player to pin the Trojans in their half.

This decision proved to be a tactical master move that would've made Van Gaal proud as it quickly paid off, captain Land scoring an important goal following great organising play by Sam North who looked surprisingly calm for a change.

And it was 1 minute later, 2 minutes before full time when Alex Land showed he wasn't done yet, taking lead of his boys

and banging in another, making it 2-2.

After this, Chappers decided to put the goalie back on to hang on to the point, and with 1 minute left to go, the Marlow men didn't give anything away, earning them a hard fought point, continuing their unbeaten pre-Christmas unbeaten streak.
