That's as close to a complete performance as we could ask for, but the squad must knuckle down with 21 games to go.
Marlow have endured a tough run of results in pre-season, but the learning curve has been steep and the boys should be proud of how far they've come.
Oscar Ancliffe's tireless running paid off as he opened his account with a terrific deflection after 7 mins and while the hosts dominated the remainder of the first period there were no real opportunities to extend their lead. Boyd Dercksen concentrated well and dealt with the few attacks that came his way.
The second period saw Marlow get through their repertoire and Tunbridge were struggling to come up with the answers. The Reds' back 5 were in terrific form and who wouldn't be with such a tidy GK behind them.
Marlow were disciplined and had the perfect game plan. It really paid off as Jack Turner converted a superb team goal with 12 mins to go and it really took the pressure off. He then finished an audacious PC with 7 mins remaining and the trick bag was unleashed for Jon Hooker to make it 4-0 after the final whistle.
What a start, but the squad need to get their feet on the ground and prepare well for Trojans next week
