'Reading played Marlow at Pound Lane on Tuesday evening. In a supposed friendly match, stakes were high as many players from Reading had moved from Sonning lane to Pound lane. An evenly fought encounter left both teams with nothing to be too disappointed with; an overly sweeping move from back to front with Shiv Kapoor finishing off and drawing first blood. However, a lapse in concentration let Reading straight back in and the half time the score was 1-1. Marlow were slow out of the block and as the two teams went back onto the pitch, Reading had much of the ball and managed to capitalise on some poor defending for the boys in red. However, the Marlow players picked their heads up and drew it back to 4-3 with the ball stuck in the Reading half. Marlow fought back and a controversial last minute finsih from Marlow's answer to Messi, Jack Clee, banged home a goal to finish the game at 4-4. A close fought contest that left both team with a share of the share o the spoils'
