Marlow ladies were determined to get back to winning form, welcoming the return of lots of young legs, after a very disappointing result last week. Within minutes Marlow were creating action in the D and Aggie’s tenacity at picking up the rebounds created our first goal BOOM! Soon after, Helena was weaving and winding through the Wycombe defence to slot in our second goal BOOM! Wycombe’s first goal followed - unfortunately Marlow’s defence had withdrawn as they thought the ball had gone off the pitch but Wycombe’s young Sophie played on and the goal was given. The second half was a blurred vision of goals. Krishni and Sarah reunited in their set piece - Krishni powering up the right wing and passing beautifully into the D for Sarah to slot it in. BOOM!Jacqui and Krishni were constantly taking shots in the D but so many great saves by the Wycombe goalie. Eventually both scored to take us to 5-1 BOOM BOOM! And Krishni could not resist one more BOOM! Must not forget Eloise’s perfectly timed run/kick out to clear the ball in a nerve wracking 1v1 against a super fast Wycombe striker that had broken free. Goalkeeping skills to make Captain Mac proud. Well deserved POM was Helena for so many fabulous runs and thanks to Emma and Margo for their support and photos, always fun to play against our neighbours Wycombe.
