After a snow clearing start early morning, the pitch was made usable for the Boys to have their first home grown tournament on.
With 3 x Marlow teams and strong B teams from Guildford, Surbiton, Reading and Wallingford we had a good calibre of players.
With all the teams playing 6 x games each the final scores came out with Reading as the overall champs, followed by Surbiton and Guildford tying, then Marlow 1, Wallingford, Marlow 2 and Marlow 3 teams.
A trophy and medals were presented by Pete to the Reading team and all the players and a thank you to the players and coaches for coming to what was a successful inaugural tournament.

The boys' games improved as they played and some outstanding hockey was played too.
The keepers deserve a special mention for some great keeping.

We hope the boys enjoyed the run about in the fresh, biting cold and a big thank you to those parents who braved the cold to watch, plus a round of applause for our fab coaches, Sam North, Allie, Ian and Jim. There will definitely be some extra training tips being used in the future, all good experience.

The last big thank you goes to Ben Rollett who offered his umpiring services for the full 3 hours with only a thank you to suffice. Great club spirit and commitment.
