Losing our keeper to injury just before the match wasn't a good start but luckily the Windsor family stepped into the rescue with Helen volunteering to go in goal, sister Katie happy to sub and with mum Anita umpiring (with Rhona ), the game got under way!!
Marlow starting slowly as the girls got used to their positions particularly a new pairing at the back of Ella and Millie. With Emily playing in front of the back two the girls started to push forward well supported by Georgie and Sophie in the midfield. Guilford were fortunate to go ahead with a small error in defence which allowed a Guilford forward in giving Helen, with no warm up, no chance to keep out. But after that Helen was brilliant in goal kicking the ball out superbly well (know who to call if we are stuck for a keeper again....)with the defence Millie, Ella with Erin and Molly stepping up Guilford rarely threatened the goal for the rest of the match.

The second half saw Marlow keeping there shape better and with Katie, who was voted MVP by Guilford, putting through some excellent balls for the forwards the girls pressed hard for an equaliser. Unfortunately dispite going very close, forwards Issy, Jody, and Miki supported by midfield of Charlotte, Emily, Sophie just couldn't get the ball in the back of the net. All trying for the perfect shot we need to start a shoot on sight policy!

All the girls worked really hard and deserved to get an equaliser maybe next week.......
