Marlow U14D girls started well against Richmond Leopards with Ella Hobbs driving hard at the Richmond defence from the off.In the first half Marlow created several chances with some excellent link up play on the right hand side between Maisy, Maddy and Miki which eventually led to the first goal being scored by Emily Dix. Pressure was kept up with Amelia driving forward and Frankie's great tackling in the mid field.
In the second half Marlow started to dominate the game but the central defenders of Millie Tomlinson and Molly Hobbs had to stay alert and made some excellent interceptions and with Alys making a couple of good saves to stop Richmond scoring. Holly BF on the left hand side started to increase the ball pace with some telling long passes and with the 3 M's working on the right, Amelia scored a second goal followed by Emily who ending up with a hat trick giving the final score of 4-0.
Amelia was voted MVP by Richmond with the girls voting the Richmond goalie as their MVP well deserved.
Well played everyone,I received several compliments after the game from the Richmond parents on your team performance.
