For the first time ever the boys and girls were faced with the space provided by half pitch hockey, needless to say not every corner was explored and the centre was well worn. The two teams comprising of solely U9s had a successful morning competing with other teams from Reading, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wokingham who had mixed U10s sides. We won more games than we lost! Top Goal scorer in Team 2 was Olivia Gomarsall with three goals, while in Team 1 Freddie Cow scored 3. We had many other goal scorers and wonderful performances all over the pitch. Both teams had a great morning and next month we hope to be allowed three teams so that we can ensure everyone gets more pitch time in smaller teams. Thanks to all the Mums and Dads for there support and dragging the children back out of the woods to play hockey!
