The U14 girls were not expecting an easy game against Maidenhead and the first half was mainly played in the Marlow attacking end but just a single goal from captain Luisa from a short corner was the difference between the teams at half time. After what must of been an inspirational team talk from coach Porter the second half was a different story. Within the first 3 minutes Marlow had doubled their goal tally with Tash finding the net. Goals 3 and 4 came from players tapping in from either post - this was Ellie and Hannah D. Dasha then opened her U14 scoring account with a perfectly placed goal from mid D. Maidenhead did not give up and kept pushing through to give Adele some action and she was determined to keep a clean sheet. Sophie and Lauren were playing deep defence but both had strong games with some great interceptions. Tash then found the net again with some skillful play and Lana made the final score 7-0 with the last attack of the match. KT was voted by Maidenhead as the Marlow POM as basically she just stopped them driving down the right!!
A great performance and good start to the EH cup competition.
