Both sides started tenatively but it was Marlow who settled more quickly putting together a number of attacks early in the first half. Wycombe however were able to break quickly and GK Alys Ramm had to react quickly. Two short-corners were defended well and Marlow attacked again with Amelia Barclay and Holly Broyhill-Fogg combining well on the right.
Marlow had their own short-corners and although one golden chance went begging, Amelia Barclay was able at last to break the deadlock with a fine shot.
The second half saw Marlow dominate with excellent contributions from Jess Minshull-Beech, Hannah Gilmour and Hannah Peperell all working together to nullify the threat posed by Wycombe and then to create the opportunities for Marlow to score. Some great passing around the back from Jess Harrison and Alex Lane meant that Marlow nenver really felt threatened. Marlow continued to overwhelm the Wycombe defenders with great skills from Anya Swale, and Amelia was able to cconvert the pressure with two further goals.
