An even game initially with chances at both ends then settled into a sustained patch of Marlow pressure which saw Anya Swales take advantage to score Marlow's first goal. Excellent play in the midfield from Jess Minshull-Beech and Holly Boryhill-Fogg ensured Marlow were rarely put under too much pressure. Even so steady keeping by Alys Ramm and strong tackles by Alex Lane were required to keep A&C's attack at bay.
Hannah Gilmour's attacking from right defence was a constant threat and a decisive cross from her was well-met by Amelia Barclay to net Marlow's second.
Even better team play developed in the second half with Marlow taking advantage of the spaces left by a tiring home side. Pressure from Hannah Peperell brought about a penalty corner which Hannah Gilmour dispatched with aplomp.
A fair result.
