Marlow went to the castle and stole the crown jewels

A very hard fought game for the defence as Marlow came out 2 nil winners

Feasey was rolling back the years, flying across his goal with one hand stick saves and dominating the D. The defence were like the Queen’s guard, not letting anyone through. Midfield was running around with energy and Doug was driving forward, the forwards waiting patiently for the opportunity despite Phil speeding pass their defence.

Deon, during the night kidnapped star player Ed Hemburrow who turned out in disguise for the 5’s. Leading by example he scored the opening goal with a great strike, which stopped just short of hitting the backboard, such was the power! Unfortunately, it felt as though he was then kidnapped in the second half as he was not seen again. Isaac and Seb were showing all their skills, that only kids have, as we kept looking for the next goal.

Towards the end of the game, a wonderful through pass from Deon, which split the defence, taking the ball from defence to attack, where Frosty, quick as a flash, knocked the ball wide for Isaac to run toward goal. He burst forward with all the excitement as though going on his first date, drew the keeper and so unselfishly squared for Frosty, who had made a darting sprint of at least 15 yards to drive the ball through a crowd of players into the roof of the net. After a VAR review, it was confirmed that Frosty, had only jogged 3.4 yards and in fact had an open goal to roll the ball into the net.

In this festive season of giving cards to all, Ian ‘chopper’ Atkinson decided to add to his collection by maiming their player. Ian, obviously the forth official for the day, then decided to highlight to the umpires their mistake. This not only continued whilst on the touchline but even in the car park to his team mates. The fact he took the player out with shoulder, stick and then leg, was not enough for a card apparently.
