Marlow played oxford 6 ths at the weekend and recorded a 1 -1 draw . The same results as earlier in the season

Oxford have the best defensive record in the league and marlow found it difficult to break down the Oxford team although having the majority of the game..Oxford were content to sit back ,defend their circle and attack only thorugh counterattacks

Solid work from jack pennant, duncan turner and callum harjette was not able to find the breakthorugh and the half ended 0-0.

Finually the breakthough came in the second half when greg tyler made a strong cross and Cameron Beazley- clarke stopped at the far post and slipped the ball past the keeper ........ This forced Oxford to open up and attack and after a number of counterattacks were able to convert one attempt at the end of the game ......Despite marlow's work late in the game we were unable to find the winner

A feature of the 4 ths season this year has been the frustrating number of draws !. One imporvement to take forward to next season !
