Marlow 4 ths produced their best result of the season with a commanding win over top of the table Ealing lions .With a new 4 3 3 formation marlow troubled Ealing from the start. Calum brown's first short corner rebounded off the post after early pressure. His second short corner was converted , and the third followed up and put in by Phil samuels . Ealing quickly rebounded and marlow found themselves back at 2-1. However, marlow's younger players Jack Pennant, Ben Jackson ,Calum Harjette and Ed & Greg Tyler attacked with speed and agility and continually troubled Ealing. The half finished at 3-1

Ealing came out in the second half strongly to try and retain their leadership crown. It became close as Ealing pulled back to 3-2 and then 4 -3 as marlow tired. However, each time marlow were able to counterattack and retain the lead .A hat trick for excellent Calum brown and a brace for Ed Hemburrow ,one on a reverse stick and reliable bernard Tyler also made the score sheet. Tireless work by Jack Pennant in the midfield and Phil Samuels ,James Winter , Ian Cuthbert in the back four held the team together and maximized the possession .Andrew Downing had a busy and competent time in goal as Ealing peppered the goal with strikes,flicks and shots as Ealing fought to retain their winning record . However, ,Marlow had the confidence , speed , and skills to overcome the mighty Ealing lions in a rememberable and convincing way.Well done marlow 4ths !. We are only the second team to beat them in three seasons ! Onwards and upwards marlow 4 ths.!!
