Keeping our pitch tidy

As our All Weather Pitch enters the 8th year we need to look after the area more than ever.

Understandably we now take this great facility for granted but we have noticed more and more rubbish, kit and clothing being left and never tidied up. Frankly we have let our standards slip and often the pitch surround is a mess.

It’s time for us as Club Members to step up and look after our asset better. To this end I propose that twice a year the 12 Senior Teams (7 Men’s and 5 Ladies) each have a week to tidy the pitch every day.

The Team Responsibility Week runs Monday to Sunday and will include every day:

  • Picking up rubbish
  • Emptying bins into the Grundons
  • Collecting lost property
  • Making sure everything is locked up
  • Checking the floodlights are off

Teams can swap weeks with other teams with notification to Management Team

The rota is attached

With this plan we can keep our pitch in perfect condition with a team effort that means that each team only needs to be responsible for 2 weeks per season.

If each team does the job, and all pitch users still take responsibility on a match by match basis, we will achieve MHC Pitch Perfect.

Thanks in advance for all your help
