Protective equipment

It is compulsory for all players to wear a suitable mouth guard and hockey shin pads - they will not be allowed to train or play in any games without these basic safety items. Astro-turf trainers should be worn (not football/rugby boots) and please remember to bring your stick (we can lend you one if necessary).

General information

1. Please make sure that your children bring a water bottle with them to training - plastic bottles only (no cans or fizzy drinks).

2. Children should not bring any food or sweets onto the astro - make sure they have had their breakfast before you arrive!

3. Please ensure that your children wear appropriate clothing to play hockey - we aim to keep them active, but they will need to wear tracksuits, warm hats and gloves on cold mornings.

4. In freezing conditions there will be a pitch inspection at 8am. Please check your email/ the website before setting off to the Sports Club in these conditions.
