Marlow U14 Girls played Maidenhead for the second time this season but this time in the EH Cup.
After watching coaches Kate and Jo play in the over 45's match that proceeded this match surely the U14 girls would be inspired. It seemed so with an early goal from Sarah Pearce, perfectly placed on the left post. Marlow kept attacking and were rewarded with their second from midfielder Mia Rogers. Maidenhead then took their chance when Marlow were attacking for a quick break and although keeper Mila Melch came out confidently the ball crept into the corner. Marlow then stepped up the heat of attack and 3 goals followed from Katie Saunders just before half time. The second half started much the same and Maidenhead defended well and the keeper was tested on a few occasions. Mid- way through the second half Sarah Pearce scored her second and Marlow's 6th. Captain Melike Gerrits then ended the scoring with some lovely stickwork, as is her trade mark, to make the final score 7-1 to Marlow.
