Marlow U14 Girls continue there winning streak with an impressive win against Amersham & Chalfont U14's

The U14 girls seemed confident before the start of the game but maybe the fact that they took more notice of Cookie the dog in the pre match team talk or that coach Kate Porter was not there with her boom box for the warm up, they started slowly allowing A&C to threaten their goal in in the first five minutes. Luckily keeper Mila Welch was alert and made a couple of saves. Captain Melike Gerrits then opened the scoring for Marlow for the second week running after weaving through the A&C defence. Mia Rogers then doubled Marlow's lead and then added a further goal using a new skill learnt from a training session she'd had with England's Alex Danson. After half time the Marlow team really stepped up their game and Amelia Barclay soon added her name to the score sheet. Some text book passing followed, from defender Georgia Keys to forward Maddy Peacock who took the ball to the line and then continued into the D passing onto the stick of Jess Fores for Marlow's fifth. Marlow midfield was too strong for A&C, with Jemima Copeman taking the ball left and right and leaving the oppo looking on. Ellie Yeomans scored the sixth goal and then Alice Atkinson used her speed to pass defenders and help set up Mia for her hatrick. Sas Enderby scored the last 2 for Marlow with some excellent positioning. Final result 9-0, what an awesome bunch of talented young ladies these are. Cookie was less impressed with the hockey and just slept in the sun!
