Cracking 5-0 win for GU16 B's

30 minutes before the GU16 B match against Phoenix Ranelagh we only had 10 players ready to start but thankfully Ellie Yeoman and Helen Windsor came along to help us out after their game earlier in the day to join our 3 other U14's Sophie, Martina and Maddy....hooray!!. Thank you Jo and Jenny for your great help in getting a team out today it was definitely worth it!
Marlow made a great start with Alys Ramms scoring a goal in the 4th minute which gave everyone confidence to dominate the first half. Good pressing, kept the pressure on the Phoenix defence, who defended well and made some telling breaks which were well defended by Sophie,Emily,Helen and Toni. Milli Jackson captaining the side led by example driving down the right wing resulting in a further 2 goals by Ellie and another by Alys ending the half 3-0 up.
The second half was more even and Mila had to be alert in goal to make a couple of telling saves. However continued great team work moving the ball round well by all players including the M's, Maddy, Miki, Molly, Martina ended with a further 2 goals by Milli and Ella. Great game girls hope you all enjoyed with a special thanks to Ellie and Helen (voted MVP) and the lovely U14D girls and excellent captaining by Milli.
