We need you to be a nuisance!!

After a few weeks training the U14 girls traveled to Guildford for an 11:30 pb to start their league campaign for the 2017-18 season. The team talk from Kate had their game aims, so track back and put pressure on the ball carrier. She also reminded them of some wise words of wisdom from GB player Zoe Shipperly - BE A NUISANCE. The game was slow to start with the majority of the play between the two 23 metre lines with some good play by both teams. Chances came for both sides but it was the home side Guildford who took the lead after 20 minutes. The Marlow girls came fired up for the second half but could not find a way through to get a goal back with the Guildford keeper making some good saves. In the final play of the match Marlow were awarded a penalty corner which was converted by Tilly to finish the match in a well earned draw.

Coaches were pleased with the girls performance in their first match and the nuisance of the day was Lucy Peperell !!!
