Marlow U14 boys thunder to victory

Amersham and Chalfont started off play with a very patient game and Marlow responded with a high press to put them under pressure. In the first 15 minutes, play was mostly dominated by Marlow. At the 20 minute mark, Karan opened up the scoring after deflecting a hard hit from Elliot into the top left corner of the goal. The score line stayed the same for the rest of the half.
The second half saw Marlow start strong, after Kate’s half time team talk. The boys suddenly started to work together as a team and started to really put the pressure on Amersham and Chalfont. 10 minutes into the second half Marlow got a short corner. A rebound of the keeper led to Elliot putting a flick past the keeper. Soon after Elliot scored a second with a lovely reverse stick shot that shot past the keeper's right foot.
The boys played extremely well against a tough opposition and have definitely earned their 3-0 win. Man of the match was impossible to decide due to the fact that everyone in the team played to their best and played as a team.
